Sankara Jayanthi celebrated at Varanasi Sankara Mutt -18 May 2010

With the blessings of Their Holiness Sri Sankarcharya Swamijis, the Varanasi Sankara Mutt celebrated Sri Sankara Jayanthi on 18th May 2010.

Veda parayanam was performed. A Pravachanam (discourse) on the life history of Sri Adi Sankara was held.

Parayanam of Isavasya Upanisad and some chapters of Satapada Brahmanam of Madhyandina Shaka was also performed. Patasala students and devotees took part in the Jayanthi celebrations. Prasadam was distributed.
